This is a reproduction of a representative model from Tropic, a manufacturer of rubber straps used by various brands such as Rolex, Omega, and Seiko in the 1960s.

It is made of fluororubber, which has a slightly different texture than conventional rubber straps and is highly durable. The surface has a fine basket check pattern, so it looks matte black. The lining is waffle-finished, which reduces the contact area with the skin and prevents stuffiness.

I've seen a few other Tropic Belt reproductions, but I like this one the best, including the clasp, texture, and details.

The width is 22mm and 20mm, but it can be stretched so that the 22mm can be attached to a 21mm watch, and the 20mm can be attached to a 19mm watch. It is processed with one touch, so you can remove it yourself.

I had always thought, "I wish there was a rubber strap that was a little more elegant..." but I couldn't find anything that I was satisfied with, and until now I hadn't even handled rubber straps at all. However, for the first time I have found one that I am satisfied with, and I have it specially imported from France.
